It’s been a while, I know. Life is throwing hardball after hardball right now. You best believe that I am doing everything I can to catch the balls, so they don’t become home runs. Picking the ball isn’t always easy, and at times I find myself letting a few get by.
Take the publishing of my new book Rowena. Life struck so hard that I was no longer excited about it. I found myself going through the motion as they say. Which was a damn shame since Rowena is my best work so far? My book, as you probably can read between the lines. It was not the only thing that lost its luster or didn’t matter to me. Long story short, I needed to pull me back and balance again before I got knocked out by one of the balls.
So what did I finally doing to catch more of those balls, or how am I managing the pace of those balls? Stay with me here. I know that this is not a Talk Session about a book or writing resources. However, this is still me sharing, and you know that I have no problem getting personal at times on here. Okay, so back to those balls. I went back to my roots. Yes, I pulled out a piece of paper and just started writing down everything that was going on with me and around me. I wrote it all down. Clearing that garbage out of my head, gave me a clearer mind and made me refocus.
I realized that some of those balls had to fall. They would have fallen anyway because I didn’t have the reach to catch them, nor were they meant for me to catch. I also realized that I needed to come to terms with some of the significant balls. It hurts to watch them go by. However, I know that I can’t change where they are headed. I needed to accept them, and I decided that I would. Basically, I accepted what I can't change. This hurts like hell. But you have to take the good and the bad of life.
Accept the things you just can't fix or change. Accept that life begins and ends for everybody.
What am I doing now about the balls? Nothing! I am slowly finding my peace with them. I know that some days will be harder than others, and it’s okay.
Tell me, how do you handle life's challenges? How do you get yourself back on track or balanced? As always, share, like, and share some more if you found this Talk Session to your liking.
